· Brief Introduction:


Presidency University School of Law which is situated in Bangalore, Karnataka, is a private University which is ranked Best Emerging Private University by ASSOCHAM. Presidency University School of Law which is approved by Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi.


SOL’s academic programme is designed to foster intellectual vibrancy, academic rigor, and community activism. SOL offers an integrated 5-year Honours Bachelor Degree Program in Law in the 3 disciplines of B.A., LL.B. [Hons.], BBA. LL.B.[Hons.], and B.Com. LL.B. [Hons.], with a strong multi-disciplinary interface. This provides an important immersion into the economics, sociology, political science, technology, leadership, and management of legal services and training for the entrepreneurial lawyer.



The signature feature of the Law programme is its experiential pedagogy, updated syllabi, and credited internships. There is a strong focus on capstone opportunities, including seminars, research forums, clinics, and opportunities in other schools and departments, in which students can bring to bear in sophisticated ways, the knowledge they have acquired in their prior courses.

[A] CAMPUS-The campus of Presidency Group of Institutions (PGI) Bengaluru is spread over 64 acres of land located close to the Bangalore International Airport and is surrounded by a green environment. It is fully Wi-Fi enabled for the students, faculty members & other staff members. All the classrooms and seminar rooms of PGI’s campus are well furnished with modern facilities. The University has a well-established cafeteria located on the campus providing a wide range of food. The institute also provides various other facilities to its students like laboratories, computer labs, sports facility, ATM etc. The library at PGI Bengaluru has a vast collection of books, reports, journals, and periodicals. Separate hostels for both boys & girls is provided within the campus with internet access, hygienic food, CCTV surveillance & other amenities.


[B] LIBRARY-The Presidency University reference and lending library is well-stocked with a vast collection of books, reports, journals and periodicals. The library also provides access to the best of business and management-related digital resources through its subscription to various databases consisting of scholarly and industry-relevant content. Students utilize these services for their classroom-related work and for further research into their areas of interest.


[C] HOSTEL-The University has a good hostel facility separate for boys and girls. Keeping the future needs, a new state of the art hostel block is coming up for providing additional capacity to accommodate 450 students near the University campus. Resident students are provided furnished accommodation comprising cot, chair, cupboard, internet Wi-Fi, etc. Each hostel is provided with independent dining area and common rooms, TV, etc. Hostel has indoor games facility. Hot and cold drinking water facility is provided in the hostel. Transport facility is provided to girl students during weekends and on holidays to go to nearby Yelahanka new town for shopping. Hostel will be provided on first come first served basis. Random allotment for hostel and rooms will be done. Rooms and hostel once allotted cannot be changed.


· Academics & Faculties


The pedagogy adopted for such Integrated Programs emphasizes multi-disciplinary research and inquiry, participative learning, blended learning using online resources, case studies and discussion seminars in addition to the classroom lectures. A very critical aspect of the learning process is to develop the skills and attitudes imperative for competence as a legal professional. With this objective the Integrated Honours Law Curriculum has courses on personal and professional skill development like Professional Communication (including courses in general and legal English), Researching and Reasoning Skills, Advocacy Skills and Drafting Skills. All such skills are refined through Moot Courts, Legal Aid Clinics and Internships that are conducted in compliance with the requirements of the Bar Council of India.



The faculty members are really great. They are available for any doubt clarification. They really helpin learning difficult subjects like law and also help to gain more interest in the subject. The quality of teaching is at par.

The college fee can be paid in 2 instalments. If the students is facing problem in paying fee. The student can approach the register office and ask for few days’ extension. There are no additional fee for the course. If the students are using college transport the student should pay what are the charges for stop.



· Cafeteria-


University has a well-established cafeteria located on the campus providing wide range of foods including North & South Indian as well as fast food for the benefit of the students and staff. Food offered by the Cafeteria is hygienic and it offers a taste of home, with wholesome freshly-cooked dishes from around the country. With its friendly atmosphere, the cafeteria serves traditional, South and North Indian dishes, all cooked in the in-house kitchens. Food is nutritious and with tastes to suit the needs of the diverse student community studying in the university. A new modern cafeteria is coming up with 250 seating capacity measuring about 9000 sq.ft. area just below the state of the art Auditorium in the campus.



· Extra-Curricular Activities

The University provides its students numerous opportunities for co-curricular activities to enrich their cultural interests. The cultural committee of the University encourages students to take part in a wide variety of cultural competitions, such as singing, dancing, debates, creative writing, etc. and holds various cultural activities throughout the year. It also organises various fests and cultural activities, where students participate enthusiastically to make the programmes a success.



· Placements

The Presidency University School of Law offers placement and internship to the students. The internship program is a vital part of the curriculum of the School of Law. The internship programs are done with Government agencies, non-profit companies, and law firms both in and outside Bangalore. The internships that our college provides wehave grades for that in final year since it’s compulsory to do at least one internship. Coming to Placements were well they have campus placements too. Apart from that we have a separate placement cabin for that too. These programs help students to explore the work aspects of the court.Though, the first batch of students from the School of Law will be passing out in 2020. The promised placements are only redeemable on completion of the final year which no batch has completed yet.



· Best Thing

One of the best things about Presidency University is the many wonderful student organizations. Student organizations are an important part of campus life. They ensure students grow beyond just academics. They are a fabulous place to unwind, meet like-minded students, and have a better outlook on life. These student organizations also actually have a positive impact on academia and the students’ resume as well. They acquire skills that will help them once they enter the professional world. Here are some of the student organizations and clubs at Presidency University that will help you grow.



· Worst Thing

Yes, there is one Negative remark for college what is that means it is very far from city so many members are facing transport problems and one positive remark is college has good surrounding environment.



· Any Other:

The university organizes various national and international conferences. The national moot court competitions are also conducted. The university organised its fest recently. Named as Meraki, it was a festival for everyone.
