· Brief Introduction

Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies is an ambitious initiative of Maharaja Agrasen Technical Education Society. The society has been promoted by a group of eminent industrialists, businessmen, professionals and philanthropists to promote quality education in the area of technology and management. Affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies began with two programmes- BBA and BBA (B&I) in 2003.

Presently, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies is affiliated to run the BBA, BJMC, B.Com(Hons.), BA(Hons.)Economics, BA.LLB(Integrated) programmes. The institute was granted ISO Certification 9001:2008 after meeting the requirements of new version of ISO Certification. The Law Department, working under Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies is equipped with senior and seasoned faculty members having wide and varied experience in their domains. The Department is equipped with requisite parameters as stipulated by the Bar Council of India and facilities to pursue the professional course in the right earnest. The teacher- student ratio in the School of Law has been kept at the optimum level to meet the requirement of students &stipulated norms.

The institute has been graded in ‘A’ category by the fee regulatory committee of the government of the NCT of Delhi and Joint Assessment team of the Government of NCT of Delhi and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha university.

Campus-Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies ((MAIMS) is of around 9 acres campus at Rohini, Sector – 22, New Delhi. The campus houses blocks that have fully furnished, fully air-conditioned, fully digital and disabled - lecture halls, seminar halls, library, computer centre, canteen, boy’s hostel, administrative block and auditorium for the courses of Business Management, Journalism, Law, Commerce, and Economics.

Library - MAIMS Library is a spacious and quiet reading space that offers students a mix of academic, classic, and popular readings. It provides access to students with best resources both related to course curriculum and beyond. Library is well-stocked with 23, 998 volumes, 2262 titles, 28 National journals, 7 international journals, 24 national magazines, 3 international magazines, 16 news paper dailies, 394 CDs/DVDs. Students’ can also avail a number of facilities such as book bank facilities, constituting 14,807 books, computer systems with digital resources and photocopy service on- payment basis. A dedicated library for law, Shri Shishupal Garg Law Library is set up to provide  law students and faculty a distinct study space. The library is equipped with 1478 volumes of legal resources and 454 reference books, and 1024 legal textbooks.

Hostel - With a capacity of boarding 186 students, the college hostel offers single, double, and four-bed rooms to choose from, subject to availability. The rooms are well equipped with essential furniture and air-conditioners to beat the Delhi heat. And the quality of the food in the mess is very good. A Girls Hostel, although not housed within the campus, is located at an easy walking distance at Maharaja Agrasen Sadan, Pooth Kala, Sec-20, Rohini, Delhi.

MAIMS shelter’s multiple food joints –four in number –within its campus. The main college canteen offers mini- lunch packs and variety of cuisines to choose from. Along with taste, the quality of the food is also good.

· Students culture and activities- MACS (Maharaja Agrasen Cultural Society)

College organize annual fest every year and they also organize annual sports meet. The college also organize photography fest and sometimes celebrities used to come in our college.

MACS has various clubs headed by its faculty members who guide students in various activities. Students choose clubs according to their talent and interest. We have at present the following clubs working under MACS:







These are the various societies in the college related with music, photography, sports club, social service etc.

MACS organizes various activities mainly Genesis (Annual Cultural Fest), Debates, Diwali celebrations, Rangoli and Poster making competitions, visits to different places like old age home, blind school etc.

Some other societies are COMMPACT(commerce society) this society is one of the prominent society of this institution. This society is a platform for the brilliant students of the college of the various streams.

· Placement

As this is a newly started course in this college so unfortunately there is no past record for the placement for the Law Students but if we look at the other stream students we can easily find that this institute had a rich past record in providing the placement and job opportunities to there students many companies come to the college for placement. Companies like Amazon, Genpact etc. Come to the college for placements and most of the students get placed.

· Best thing

The best thing about our college is that the faculty members are highly supportive they try there best to provide the every information related with our course or syllabus or anything else even the management is also very supportive they try to solve every issues related with the students.

· Worst thing

The location is one the worst thing about the college because there is no direct bus or metro is available for the college plus the college has no facility of the college bus service for the students.

· Any other

The college is pretty decent for education and environment. This college provides knowledge along with experience and exposure.
