LAW SCHOOL REVIEW - GURU GHASIDAS CENTRAL UNIVERSITY, BILASPUR, (C.G)
School of Law is established under Guru Ghasidas Central University in year 2012. Department offers two 5 year integrated programs, the BA LLB & the B.Com LLB courses. There are 10 semesters spread over 5 years with two semesters per year. There are compulsory core subjects, Language subjects, compulsory law subjects & optional law Subjects. The department is having its own furnished and equipped library with all the necessities. It caters to the needs of the society by developing professional skills of persons intending to make a career in advocacy, judicial service, law officer & legislative drafting as their profession. At university level there is youth parliament is held in which students from all departments take part.
The Location of college is situated in Bilaspur – Ratanpur Main Road, Koni, Bilaspur, (C.G), Pin- 495009.

A. Campus:- It is spread over about 700 Acres and 2.8 Km2 and provides good environment for studies in which there are 32 departments are present and one of them is our Dept. of Law.
B. Library:- There is a huge Central Library for all student in our college, and a separate department library for School of Law.
C. Hostel:- There are 3 hostels present here in which 2 of them are for boys and 1 for girls in which admissions are done on merit basis.
· Academics and Faculties
Every academic year there is an intra moot court competition is held for students. Department also conduct other different competitions like essay, debate, quiz etc.
There is a Dean and Head of Department with 2 permanent faculties and 6 Adhoc faculties present which support the students in each and every step during the completion of course.
· Administration and Fee structure
There is a system of Delegated Administration. Every department has its own Dean and Head of Department and above them Central authority works. There is a most affordable fee structure for all the students (approx 6 thousand per year).
College provides us a huge well-furnished cafeteria in which we take the lunch and refreshments and also there is one outlet of Devbhog.
· Student culture and activities
For student culture, in our college there is a Dance group (Abhinartan), Singing group (Tarang), and Drama group (Urchins) are present, in whichany student can take part by giving auditions and also college organize a law fest for School of Law every year. There is also sports competition which has been held in the month of January every year.
There is no any placement available in our college for School of Law till now.
· Best thing
The best thing is that there are regular classes in our college with compulsory attendance system of 75% in each subject and the environment is favourable for studies as greeneries all around us.
· Worst thing
The worst thing is that, all the official works are done in offline manner, like filling of examination forms, hostel allotment forms, forms for transfer certificate, degree etc.
