· FIRST DAY FORMALITY
On the first day I was made to observe the functioning of the firm, understand the nature of work and the code of conduct of the firm.
The office is located in the commercial building right next to the Vashi station in Navi Mumbai making it easily accessible. The office has cabins for the core team and the other members have cubicles. It has a fully equipped library, waiting room for clients, a huddle room for team discussions, a boardroom for meetings and debates and a kitchen. There is a lunch room with a carrom board to enjoy breaks. The firm deeply believes in maintaining a work-life balance.
· MAIN TASK
My main task was researching and writing summary articles for the firm newsletter. I was also to assist the partners in any documentation and research work. I also had the opportunity to visit the Bombay High Court and other legal fora. During my 2 months internship, along with a co-intern, worked on a presentation on Development Agreements which has been given to the Managing Partner.
· WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PEERS
The work environment is really good. Peers are professional but friendly and you become comfortable around them quickly during lunch breaks and office debates.
Stipends will be given. However, travelling expenses are covered.
· BEST THING
The firm encourages a very practical method of thinking and treats interns with respect. They welcome new ideas and give you new opportunities, making it a wholesome experience. My best moment in the internship was when I got to attend the presentation I had worked on.
· WORST THING
The worst thing about the firm is that there is no structured internship program. However, you will not sit idle.
· OFFICE TIMING
The office timings are 9 am to 6 pm. The firm is very strict about punctuality.
Since I live in Vashi itself, I did not have need for other accommodation.
