About Law Mentor
Law Mentor is a comprehensive legal and trusted website for law students. It aims at elevating and promoting all legal events to approach the legal aspirants without any hitch.
Law Mentor began its journey in 2019 with a mission of making legal awareness and legal updates more accurate, transparent and accessible to every common man. It is our perspective that more updates and information about law will help people from different professions and legal aspirants in strengthening their capabilities.
Law Mentor has organized test of knowledge, a national level online quiz competition on Constitutional Law and National level essay competition on "social-legal issues in India" that received a tremendous response all over India and we have gathered an ample of participants who are actively in touch with us. Law Mentor has henceforth decided to launch their first edition of online journal to provide a platform to all the legal scholars, students to publish their papers. Also we have our ongoing event is 2nd online Test of Knowledge, a national level quiz competition covering different subjects of law.
Apart from these competitions, we have conducted webinars on the Understanding the aspects of contract drafting and Law as a Career on the 18th and 19th April, 2020 and also conducted numerous events, workshops and webinars in the month of May as a referral to the competitive exams, judgment writing and nuances of CV building along with guide to preparation on LLM entrance exams and various other webinars in conformation to the upcoming LLM entrance exam.
About the Webinar
Amidst COVID-19 pandemic, labour laws have been reformed by State Governments affecting the migrant labours. Labour laws are aimed at protecting the rights of the workers working in many factories. The scope of labour law is wide and it covers numerous acts under it.
The questions that arose in the minds of a law student regarding labour laws are What is the scope of law? What are the landmark and recent cases under labour laws? Is the labour law reformation a gift to the migrant labours? The webinar is focused on dealing with these questions and building knowledge about the landmark and recent cases of labour law in India.
Duration and timings of the workshop
May 06th June, 2020; 4 P.M. onwards. The duration of the webinar will be 1 hour.
He is presently working as IQAC Coordinator in Annai Fathima College of Arts and Science at Tirunangalam,Tamil Nadu and possesses 14 years of Teaching Experience.He is a Life member in Labour Economics, International Ergonomic Association, Associate Member in Business Management and holds specilisation in Labour Studies, Being an active member in University Examination Boards he wrote a Book on title "Business Correspondence". He has also published 17 research articles.
The webinar will be conducted in a lecture mode on the topic "Labour Laws: Landmark and Recent judgments on migrant labours" and will supplement regular feedback, and interactive sessions.
